Space to Entertain

Our clients asked us for a backyard, with contemporary style, perfect for entertaining. They wanted to include a generous patio for lounging, dining and cooking as well as a firepit and planting to help define the spaces, help screen neighbors, add scale and a feeling of welcome. This project was the perfect size to show off our design-build capabilities.

Our clients asked us for a backyard, perfect for entertaining. They wanted to include a generous patio for lounging, dining and cooking as well as a firepit and planting to help define the spaces, help screen neighbors, add scale and a feeling of welcome.

The dining terrace is accessed from both the lower back slides and the existing upper deck. The design included large slab concrete pavers by Unilock. Planting beds help define spaces and grade changes, direct circulation as well as add color and softness to the space.

This landscape improvements project was a design -build project. The design plan was created by our in-house designer and featured an outdoor kitchen, a dining and lounging patio, a lower dedicated fire pit patio, sitting walls, plantings and landscape lighting.

The outdoor kitchen was built using the UCara block system by Unilock and includes stainless steel appliances by XO.

Behind the built-in kitchen, boulders help retain the slope, but also add interest and texture to the landscape.

D'Urso Landscaping installed a dedicated wood burning firepit patio below the main upper dining patio.

D'Urso Landscaping installed an outdoor kitchen and dining patio off the back entrance of the house. The patio is semi-enclosed by a low seat-wall and features a beautiful, matching outdoor kitchen.

Walls and steps seamlessly define and separate the upper patio from the lower patio. Bluestone coping adds the perfect finishing touch to the contemporary wall system.
