What a fun time we had working with our clients to build this home out on property west of Decatur. The family wanted to create a living space that would be a great place to host friends, as well as a relaxing space to come after a long day’s work in town. We started by making this home all one level, so that it would be comfortable and livable for many years. The home has a great man cave that can host large groups or provide a place to relax with the family. The outdoor living space is accompanied by a pool and covered patio. The interior was finished with painted cabinets and granite counters, and the floors combine polished concrete and engineered hardwood. Carrying the stone and cedar from exterior to interior helped create flow and seamlessness from outside to in. A pond was added in the front yard, complete with a waterfall.
