Spring Lake Revival
Welcome to the beach! Our clients spent many seasons in a rental just down the street from what was to become their very own vacation home. This beauty had tons of potential but was in desperate need of an overall refresh. The scope of work included renovation, overall design and custom furnishings. We had our work cut out for us. First up, designing a gas fireplace in the family room to provide a cozy spot on cold summer nights. We used white painted brick, custom millwork and Carrara’s marble as the fireplace facade.
In the rest of the home, shades of white, soft grey, blue and brown was the palette of choice. Textural interest is important when using soft tones so we made sure to use materials like driftwood, blue stone, white shag, burlap, sisal and sheer linen to keep it interesting.
Our favorite accents are the weathered white planks found on the walls and inside the built in bookcase and the salvaged gas lamp pendants in the dining room. This combination delivers and old world charm while incorporating coastal charm.
