During the building boom in the 1980's, TJB-INC was a major player installing over 5000 timbers per month. Many of these walls are still standing today! When a stone wall is not in the budget, timber walls are great lower cost alternative with a 20-25 year lifespan before needing some attention when built correctly. Timber walls run about 30% less expensive than modular retaining wall systems. To prevent decay issues that have plagued many early timber wall construction projects, TJB-INC used a minimum 1 foot thick layer of drainage stone behind all of our installations providing ample drainage and separation from soil pathogens. Our finished work stands the test of time.
