A few words on how I feel about about parting ways with the place I've called home for over a decade.

Dearest Hudson (the model name of my house),

Eleven years is no small thing. You've held more of my life than most people ever will. Together we built more than rooms. We build memories into your walls. Every upgrade, every renovation, every late-night Pinterest fuelled idea brought to life. Each project was a chapter completed with love.

You held birthday celebrations and quiet Sunday mornings. You carried the sound of teenage laughter down your halls. You watched a boy grow into a young man. You were there for homework at the kitchen island, late night heart-to-hearts, and the bittersweet day he packed his things and stepped into his own life.

You sheltered us through seasons of change. Through joy and uncertainty. You were the longest place I have ever lived. I'm not leaving because you weren't enough. You were, and still are, more than enough. You were exactly what we needed for over a decade.

This next chapter of my life simply asks for something different. As I prepare your listing, I'm not just staging a house, I'm honoring a season. I'm grateful for every wall we painted, every milestone we celebrated, every memory stitched into your foundation.

Now it's time for someone new to walk through your door and begin their own story within your walls.
