Located outside Aspen Colorado in Snowmass Village, this home, belonging to an artist and her husband, was remodeled with the art in focus: dramatic lighting emphasizes large ceramic pieces and the owners’ collection, and helps delineate the new kitchen and entertainment spaces. The paired down palette of blackened steel, cherry wood, granite and sandstone countertops, and slate tile create a monochromatic backdrop on which to showcase art. The repetition of floating elements as platforms for art creates an airy, architectural effect.
