This large suburban yard was once covered with lawn punctuated by a large olive tree and an Orange tree. The homeowners asked that the size of the lawn be reduced to an area small enough to accommodate croquet games with family and friends. Winding pathways, Pomegranate, Apple, and Lime Trees, a vegetable garden, and a shaded bench in a "slightly messy" garden were all requests for areas where the lawn was removed. While much of the Yard was in full sun two tall pine trees cast dappled shade across a large part of the yard for much of the day.
