The library of this new home in Needham perfectly exemplifies the collaborative spirit at Audio Video Design. Most of the smart home features are hidden to let the extraordinary craftsmanship and architecture take center stage throughout the house.

The clients sought total automation for their new 8900 square foot home, built by Fallon Custom Homes. The state-of-the-art electronics are all integrated and controlled via the Savant platform, using smart phones or tablets and keypads to control the entire system. We worked with Fallon Fine Cabinetry & Millwork to seamlessly provide the clients with access to the equipment, to properly ventilate it and keep it unobtrusive within the design. Additional features the clients requested and we provided were:
1. Garage door integration that can view, check status and operate doors (even remotely)
2. Networked computer system allowing remote access and monitoring of all activity in real time with notifications to our Help Desk when issues occur
3. Full lighting, shade and temperature control, and whole-house visual monitoring
4. Streaming to multiple TVs
5. A specially designed lighting program created for an antique glass paperweight collection in drawers and a cabinet in the study
6. Music throughout the home
