In southern Alberta we have A LOT of sun, and chinook winds that often come with that. The clients wanted an outdoor living space that protected them from the elements, while maximizing the existing view. So we created this design for them inspired by the Foothills of the Rocky Mountains to do just that. The shape and angles of The Pavilion were meticulously designed to ensure a comfortable space during the entire day. When the sun sets over the Foothills just raise the oil-rubbed bronze wind/sun shades on the height-adjustable track system, and you will remain comfortable for hours of outdoor entertaining. We included a bar and beverage chillers, because who doesn’t enjoy happy hour? Walk across the boardwalk, over the bridge and rock creek and through the custom trellis, out to the expansive lawn area if you wish. Or, journey across the boardwalk and arrive at the outdoor fireplace for ambiance, and a custom BBQ enclosure with the mountain design flowing throughout. The metal roof and cedar ceiling compliment the existing home. We also included a rustic chandelier and landscape lighting so this is truly a resort oasis any time of the day or night.
