The Rhythm Retreat: A Transformational Home Addition and Design Project
In December 2023, we embarked on one of our most transformative home renovation projects to date—The Rhythm Retreat. This two-story home addition was designed for a busy professional couple with a growing family, turning what was initially a temporary home into a space that truly feels like their forever home.
Adding a primary: suite renovation was clear, create a sanctuary for the couple. Initially, they shared a bathroom with their teenage son, but this overhaul brought them the luxury of their own space, including a spacious primary bathroom and a large walk-in closet for the husband, who needed 50% more closet space. This thoughtful addition allows the family to thrive in their home. The closet is fully equipped with a washer and dryer for ultimate convenience, reflecting the couple’s busy professional lives.
A key element of the Rhythm Retreat was creating a functional space for the whole family, including their two active sons.
We created a en-suite for ine od their sons who previously shared a bathroom with them. Now has his own bathroom and walk-in closet, ensuring everyone has a space of their own.
Downstairs, we created a family room that serves as the ultimate gathering space for the family—whether it’s watching sports, assembling Legos, or jamming to music.
We also extended the kitchen by adding a butler’s pantry, which enhances the family’s ability to host and enjoy daily meals together.
Lastly gave a soft place to land for the wife by reuphostering pieces that were family heirlooms steeped with memories.
