A unique modern seaside vacation home, the exterior form of this coastal retreat was inspired by waves crashing on the rocky shoreline. Blues, greens, greys and whites reflect the palette of the ocean and the seabirds. The idea of living inside the barrel of the wave brought forth the tubular form, the walls and roof the “curl” of the wave and the front entry porch the “trough” The home appreciates the views of the seaside as well as balances the need for privacy with the through the strategic use of clear and translucent glazing.
