Pakari Barn-wood is created in a thermal modification process which increases the ability of the wood to repel water, insects, rot and helps dimensional stability (not to mention its beauty). Shipped as a rich chocolate brown color, usually only seen in exotic hardwoods, Pakari will weather and fade to a beautiful silver patina if left untreated in direct sunlight.
