The Thorson Residence in San Antonio, Texas, was a focused luxury renovation project where our team managed the entire lifecycle from initial architectural consultation and 3D rendering to final execution. The scope included the complete demolition of the existing space to facilitate a new layout that improves flow and functionality. We handled all structural framing, mechanical ductwork updates, and the relocation of plumbing lines to accommodate a new pot filler and farmhouse sink.
The centerpiece of the design is the custom frameless cabinetry featuring "slim shaker" flat panels with paint-grade exteriors and UV maple interiors. Key architectural elements include a custom arched vent hood cabinet and floating shelves that anchor the perimeter. To maximize utility without sacrificing aesthetics, we integrated hidden solutions such as "Hideaway" slim pullout step stools, a heavy-duty mixer lift, and pop-up electrical outlets within the quartz-topped island. The project was finished with a comprehensive electrical plan, including new recessed and under-cabinet LED lighting, ensuring the space is as functional as it is beautiful.
