The homeowner requested the rather boring landscaping be updated with color and interesting features. New plants were added to attract hummingbirds and butterflies, the many cactus species in the yard were grouped together in a new cactus garden with boulder accents. Colorful pots with desert perennials were added; tiles accented the existing water fountain and a new seatwall.
