Tiny Bath Remodeling in Ravenswood (Chicago, IL)
Chicago isn’t known for spacious bathrooms, especially in older areas like Ravenswood. But we’re experts in using every inch of a condo’s limited footprint. With that determination, this mini master bath now has a full vanity, shower, and soaking tub with room to spare.
What We Did:
- Demo existing bathroom, keeping the layout.
- Update plumbing, electric, and ventilation.
- New tub/shower alcove.
-- The tub is a Sparta 60″ Soaking Bathtub by Clarke, and goes a couple feet back into the wall, giving maximum space in the tub without taking up an entire wall of the bathroom.
-- Half wall built on one side with a custom glass enclosure, leaving plenty of room for the toilet to be a separate space.
- 36″ birch vanity by Bertch, painted sage green to pick up the green tint of the shower glass.
- French gold finish fixtures:
-- Shower set
-- Faucets and handles
-- Glass trim
-- Cabinet pulls
-- Flush lever
-- Hooks and towel bars
- Large format marble-look porcelain shower tiles, and small herringbone tiles on the floor.
- New door and window installation.
By the time we were done, we’d filled this tiny space with an abundance of subtle glamour.
