Transitional Master Bathroom Retreat

This master bathroom was once screaming of Chinoiserie wallpaper, brassy gold hardware, and outdated fixtures. Using a slate tile that had undertones of rust and dark blues, we created a color palette that was subtle & feminine to reflect her personal style. We then selected a neutral marble for the countertops and bathtub surround. For an added detail, we used a glass mosaic in the shower and bathtub skirt that had undertones of rust and blue. Since the client loved wallpaper, we replaced the old with a textural, natural sand design. Glazed cabinets and Sworvski crystal knobs created a glamorous retreat.
Can lights over both vanities were added for softer, updated task lighting, and the mirrors were replaced with custom framed glass finished in a brushed, antiqued gold to match the fixtures.
We designed a custom Sworvski crystal chandelier for over the bathtub. The chandelier began as a salvaged piece that was refinished and completely restrung. We matched the brushed bronze finish from the fixtures, back-painted crystals to reflect the ceiling color, and Sworvski crystals were strung from the crown to the arms. As a finishing touch, we commissioned a local glass studio to create a vase and nebula for pops of color.
