Transitional Remodel with Geometric Trim
This was a whole house remodel, the owners are more transitional in style, and they had a lot of special requests including the suspended bar seats on the bar, as well as the geometric circles that were custom to their space. The doors, moulding, trim work and bar are all completely custom to their aesthetic interests.
The entrance was changed adding arches and columns to give it an open entry way feel with porcelain tile, the entry also had a wood porcelain for a more grand look as you walk in.
We tore out a lot of walls to make the kitchen and living space a more open floor plan for easier communication,
The hidden bar is to the right of the kitchen, replacing the previous closet pantry that we tore down and replaced with a framed wall, that allowed us to create a hidden bar (hidden from the living room) complete with a tall wine cooler on the end of the island.
Behind the hidden bar is the family room. Previously the window on the left was closed in with a bookshelf, however we stripped away the shelving and fireplace- giving the space a more modern look and balancing the space with two window that overlooked the water; both of which now have window seats for the dogs to lay on.
The master bathroom was huge and quite interestingly shaped, the owners wanted to have a bathroom within a bathroom. So within the main bathroom space - off to the left - we created a separate room for the shower equipped with a toilet and small sink for duel functionality. Within the main bathroom there is a mounted television on the long vanity, replacing the old closets. The new closet is now behind the white door, separating the changing space from the shower space.
The bathroom with the yellow walls was replaced as is with the cabinetry and countertops.
The blue bathroom included quite a bit of space planning to include a vanity for two bowls for guests (different than the original one piece).
The back exterior previously ended by the palm trees but we extended the deck, added palm trees and travertine pavers in a herringbone pattern. You can see from the other side of the deck the extension we built with the newly created stone, retaining wall.
