The original kitchen left much to be desired. The cook top was on the island with very little counter top space and no ventilation. A very small main sink lead to a very nonfunctional layout. Showcase Kitchens created a much needed focal point and functional layout by moving the cook top to the back wall. Vinny added a beautiful custom wood hood that provided the needed ventilation for the commercial cook top. The new island became a multi-functional work space for a busy family. It now included a food preparation area, baking area with a mixer lift, buffet, and seating for two. Altogether, the space was transformed into a much more elegant and functional space.
