My "Raku" series incorporates my love of raku pottery, my fascination of Japanese Kanji symbols, and my passion in woodworking. I use texture that resembles raku pottery; thin pieces of wood to form parts of Kanji symbols; and deeply saturated color. This piece has deep blues, turquoise, teal, and is on a large 36"x 48" x 1.5" museum gallery wrapped canvas. The piece is framed in a black contemporary floating wood frame. It is wired and ready to hang.
