The client's request was to merge Rocky Mountain and Tuscan character together and be a little heavy on the Tuscan side. The over looks the Mississippi river between Minneapolis and St. Paul MN. Vistas are as far as you can see in both directions of the river. The property, as purchased, came with a construction "pad" which had already been "permitted" by the City. Consequently and as a result of the owner's building program and the approved construction limits the home became a four story "tight" villa similar to the urban homes in Tuscan villages. Maximum building height also contributed to the deeper roof overhang.
