With this job we were tasked with a complete overhaul of an old bar that had been taken over by new owners. The owners only had an idea of what they wanted but didn’t know exactly how it was to be executed. They told me that they wanted trees to be incorporated into the overall design so that’s just what I gave them. This is where our artistic abilities come into play. The trees were free handed onto sheets of wood and then meticulously cut out and fitted in their positions. The perpendicular trees behind the bar help to capture a very unique vibe. To make things more interesting we built a “light box” around the dance floor to encase led lights, which were routed to the dj booth to change color and flash along to the tempo of the music. In front of these lights are sheets of plexy glass with trees painted onto them. In the end, a masterfully crafted bar was born with its very roots beginning with a sketch on a piece of scrap wood.
