Underground Passive Wine Cellars
Traditional underground cellar spaces are prevalent among period homes, such as Victorian, Georgian and other historic houses.
These cellars arguably provide the perfect passive wine cellar environment, where temperatures fluctuate slowly across a narrow range, such as in the cellars of the top domaines in Bordeaux or the Rhone. However, because these spaces are naturally cool and humid, only non-rust, metal wine racks make suitable wine storage for these spaces.
Our metal wine racks will not rot (unlike wood) and are made from anodised aluminium or powder coated steel to prevent rusting.
