These clients were seeking an update to their original fixtures in the guest bathroom of their condo. Some safety and aging-in-place features were important to them, but we didn't want that to detract from the style and decor of this makeover.
The new tub is a patented Universal Design tub from Brak. The tub allows for a more stable center of gravity when entering/exiting, 30% more standing room, and no interior curves to help eliminate slip hazards. The surround is Bestbath's Subway Tile Gelcoat with plywood backing for any future grab bars that may be required. We had the surround recessed at the factory to allow for the real tile accent stripe. The corner shelves are grab bars. Josh King Designs worked with our client for materials and colors.
