The original kitchen of this hundred year old home was very small and cramped, in the back of the house. The homeowners decided to transform their spacious dining room into a new kitchen. Our task was to design the room in a way that would serve the needs of this family of five as well as preserve the original wood beams and window seats in the room. As the kitchen is the heart of the home, we designed this kitchen with the express purpose of consolidating the cooking space to one side of the room, leaving the rest of the room open for the family to move freely in the kitchen while staying out of the cooking area.
