Vista del Monte was designed in tandem with the L+J residence. Together, these projects make up the McCluney Ranch compound. Vista del Monte was designed for a mother and father. Their daughter, son in law and grandchildren will live on the same Sonoma Valley site, in the L+J residence. With floor to ceiling sliding windows, this ranch highlights the sweeping views to the west. It was designed to seamlessly integrate home and site as well as fulfill the programatic and aesthetic needs of the client. The exposed steel and wood rain screen system serve both functional and aesthetic purposes.
