Vista Mar
This wide, but shallow hillside site offered an opportunity to feature breathtaking views of the Laguna Beach coastline from nearly every space.
An intentionally compressed entry canopy greets visitors at the street and runs the depth of the home, directing your gaze westward towards the view. From this vantage point, one can take in the vibrant energy of the city while also enjoying the tranquil beauty of the sea.
The upper plan consists of a primary bedroom suite, the living room, dining room, kitchen, and a covered outdoor dining area. The lower floor is recessed back to receive a covered pool, outdoor fireplace, and lounge. Behind that, tucked against the hillside, is another bedroom suite, the family room, gym, and guest bedroom. The open plan of both floor levels allows light to flow freely, bringing the beauty of the outdoors inside.
As the name suggests, Vista Mar takes its name from the width of space that peers out over the horizon.
Day or night, it provides a variety of living experiences, from small, protected living spaces to grand outdoor rooms,
making it a true California solution.
