Invision Designs had the opportunity to collaborate with Quality Decks and Additions on this Lancaster City
Property. Through it's challenges, having really great bones, made it all worth while! Also,
having a company willing to entertain out of the box ideas, to work with, made it a fun and fabulous adventure.
The powder room you see pictured here, didn’t even exist prior to the renovation. Invision Designs laid out a new full
bath as well a laundry area to make the space more functioning for the potential new owners. Keeping
the selections light and clean made a small space feel so much larger and airy feeling. Designing Built in
shelves added storage and allowed the contractor to hide the needed heat duct behind. Wrapping the
tub with horizontal plank tile, helped to open up the area and reflects the natural light from the window.
Removing what was the existing full bath and adding that space to a tiny back bedroom, now makes for
a nice sized master bedroom. Fresh colors and fixtures with the warmth of new carpeting finish off the
second-floor space.
Removing old plaster and exposing the stunning brick wall added character and warmth to the main
living space. Wood look LVT flooring added even more, coupled with unique but simple fixtures,
designing the various hand rails and selecting the finishes totally transformed the area.
Opening the doorways throughout the main floor, redesigning the kitchen area and adding a first-floor
powder, made a huge difference in the functionality of the whole house. A warm wood stained barn
door conceals the powder room tucked under an old chimney. Add a bit of charm with the faucet and
mirror details to finish out the look. Adding a small coffee/snack counter in the kitchen adds to the extra
space we all can use in our own kitchens! A Pantry cabinet tucked into a small alcove, makes for great
additional storage. Swapping out a solid back door, for a half lite door and transom above added so
much needed light into the space, making it feel even more spacious.
Selecting the outdoor colors and finishes, transformed the houses exterior, making it fresh, updated and
ready to move in! The original color was a dark cranberry color, making the home feel small. Choosing a
light color for the main background and adding several colors around the windows/doors makes an
updated and inviting statement.
