A very open and storage-efficient kitchen with inviting, warm woods and natural stones. But, it didn't start out that way. Designhouse had the kitchen gutted to remove a wasteful walk-in pantry and to open up the kitchen, installed highly efficient storage components, removed a wall between the living room and kitchen to create a more communal area, and designed new cabinetry with deep storage drawers for pots and pans, an induction cooktop, soapstone countertops, and in ceiling hood to keep the view between the living room and kitchen open. The end result was a much more inviting kitchen with great functionality.
