West LA Front Yard
Featured in 2019 APLD Greater Los Angeles Garden Tour
An old lawn was transformed into a drought-resistant garden offering ever-changing colors and textures, using turf removal rebates from the local water agency. To give the homeowners a much-needed buffer between their front door and the hustle and bustle of a big city, a new stucco wall, true to the original architecture of the home, was built to create an enclosed patio. The garden is a popular hangout for local bees, butterflies and hummingbirds.
