Westcliffe

Westcliffe is situated on 35-acres with breathtaking views in all directions. The goal for the remodel was to keep the original foundation intact, yet redirect the living spaces to focus on these views, thus blurring the lines between the interior and exterior world. The house pays homage to the natural landscape while being a modern home for an active family.

A sectional sofa by Pembrooke and Ives face a Ralph Pucci daybed and two Richomme chairs. The floor lamp is by Roman Thomas, the area rug is by Beauvais Carpet.

Three custom pendants designed by Pembrooke and Ives, built by O’lampia Studio hover above a custom concrete and steel table by Gore Design. The accessories are antique currencies from North Africa.

A precast concrete fireplace by Concreteworks anchors the living room as the dark stained white oak flooring steps up to the open dining room. Hakrien dining chairs by Holly Hunt sit at a Zinc table with a walnut base built by Groundworks. The chandelier is a custom design built by Lukas Lighting.

Custom designed by Rowland+Broughton, the sliding glass panels by Grabill allow more than half of the walls to open into the landscape.

The Lenado Room was designed specifically to take advantage of the views of the untouched Lenado Valley. Two Espasso chairs and a concrete table by Company K sit on a hand knotted rug by Shyam Ahuja.

Maxalto chairs and a custom sofa create a casual family room centered around a custom concrete and walnut coffee table by Douglas Thayer.

Robert Singer & Associates touched every surface with their unique lighting design including the recessed back-lit hand rail and up-lighting below the stair. Children’ toys throughout remind us of the family embodying the space.

Grabill Windows and Doors built the custom designed pivot door and windows throughout the house. The floors are Caesar Ceramic tile and the walls are a level 4 finish painted in a flat finish by Benjamin Moore.

A simple material palette of limestone and dark stained oak allow the focus of the master bath to be upon the mountains beyond. Independently lit and suspended mirrors by Electric Mirror bring functionality to a space of beauty and tranquility.

A glass bridge connects the office sitting area to the office. A local artist, Karl Hollinger, created the multi-media piece which hangs above the sofa.
