White Residence

This small collaborative design project is the result of how better can be the final result when a pro is walking hand-in-hand with a do-it-yourself. A small kitchen that was transformed and updated with a tight budget. With the guidance of Design Edge they could save money in certain items and allow them to change the flooring that they thought they couldn't afford when they started to consider the project.

A spacious corner with granite top and cabinets with glass doors were built on the corner where the microwave was. The fridge was also located on this wall. The cage for the dog was eventually relocated in the laundry room. LED undercabinets lighting completed the ensemble.

The double oven was replaced by a two-doors pantry. The trash can was relocated inside a cabinet and it comes out for more convenient use. The window valance was taken away and a pendant lighting was placed over the sink. The selection of the countertop and backsplash was done by Design Edge....

In the empty wall section the homeowners wanted glass door cabinets, a faked cabinet to hide a dog cage, a double door refrigerator, and a microwave cabinet. With this drawing and Design Edge guidance they realized that their ideas didn't work well.
