We removed existing laminate cabinets and installed custom frameless painted cabinets from Elmwood Kitchens. These cabinets were constructed in a way to hide all seems such as on the island, peninsula, and hanging glass door cabinets. The electrical wiring for the undercabinet lighting on the glass door cabinets is hidden from view on both the interior and exterior of the cabinets. The stainless steel appliance garages were custom made by EFI. Internal accessories were included throughout the design. A stainless steel toekick was used for both aesthetics and durability. This project included a new dishwasher, downdraft cooktop, and refrigerator. Outlets on the backsplash areas were relocated under the wall cabinets to provide a cleaner look to the full-height glass tile from Emser. An Adorne pop-out outlet was installed on the island for a cleaner look than standard exposed outlets. A 4cm thick counter was needed using 2cm granite (standard) but the pattern on the material selected was quite busy, so a stepped edge was utilized to hide the seam and continue with the contemporary look of the design.
