The Windsong Cottage design started in an unusual way. The lot my customer purchased included a concrete block foundation left over from a failed building project. I designed this house to conform to the existing foundation. This was not without it's challenges. The foundation was originally planned for a simple "Low Country" style home. But my client's desire was for a "French Country" style home with an open Floor Plan. The results are what you see in the photo set by acclaimed photographer Aaron Hogsed, Aaron Fine Architectural Photography. The home was built by one of the finest builders in western North Carolina, Thompson & Brown Custom Builders, llc.
