This project started as an under-stair storage closet and quickly became the kind of design challenge we enjoy. Working within a very tight footprint and uncovering hidden stair structures once demolition began meant every inch had to work harder. The client’s goal was to maximize wine storage as much as possible, which led to a semi-custom cabinetry solution that balances capacity with display. A dedicated, illuminated niche was designed to accommodate larger bottles, turning spatial constraints into a feature. Thoughtful, personalized design upfront made it possible to spot opportunities beyond what could be discovered through on-site trial and error, transforming a small, overlooked space into a wine room that feels intentional, functional, and inviting.
