Winnetka Residence - New Construction
This new-construction Winnetka residence was designed and built by Reynolds Architecture Design and Construction. The exterior takes its cues from both French and English architecture. Asymmetry, terracing of the front façade, and varying roof heights welcome you to the home. A splayed slate roof, stucco walls, and stone partitioned windows provide a rich vocabulary of design elements. Separation between formal and informal spaces is seen throughout the first floor with an axis from the entry, through the foyer, and back to the dramatic curved stair hall.
Every detail within the kitchen was thoughtfully tailored to the client’s needs and lifestyle. White cabinets are complemented by the honed Calcutta countertops and backsplashes. The island was designed to accommodate seating for four and features a rarely seen, seamless slab of natural marble. Ebony stained hardwood flooring adds a rich contrast and polished nickel hardware completes the aesthetic of this elegant kitchen.
Kitchen and bathroom cabinetry, built-ins, and millwork throughout the home were custom designed by Doug Reynolds and fabricated by Reynolds Cabinetry & Millwork.
