Clarity. This whole-house re-design was driven by a desire to resolve inexplicable ceiling planes, dead-end rooms, dark and ill-proportioned spaces, a frustrating kitchen and a general lack of cohesiveness. The resulting spaces flow fluidly and intuitively due to the significant reorganization of ceilings, the creation of a library entry hall with a softly curving staircase, the new and improved linkages to outdoor terraces, decks, balconies and gardens, the addition of windows that spill light along passageways and around corners, the streamlined palette of materials and the logical but poetic layout of spaces.

For our clients, it is now a home which inspires them, engages with their neighborhood and in which they finally belong.
