We receive numerous phone calls from customers wanting to convert from Natural Wood Burning Fireplace to a Gas fireplace. Typically, the option is to fit an air tight gas insert. These models tend to have a smaller viewing area. So, when we visit the customers home we analyze all avenues and options for the homeowner before committing to what they think is the only option. If the current Natural Wood Burning fireplace is on an exterior wall, we entertain the DIRECT VENT FIREPLACE model option. This means that the homeowner would allow us to install a larger unit, being vented out the side of the existing chimney and frame around the new unit with a new wall and finishing. Just what the homeowner wanted. With these models, we are able to give the homeowner a fireplace option with larger viewing area than most gas inserts and maintain low to high output of BTU's. We have now completed the fireplace installation and framed in the new wall. We are now ready to install the Stone Work. Stay tuned for the finished product. We are excited to see the completed look.
