This floor features a remarkable hardwax-oil based finish on a base of core smoked engineered oak. Core smoking darkens the colour down into the deepest grain of the oak, creating an intense warm, yet elegant and stylish look in a subtle way. The thick top layer of the engineered floorboard (4 or 6 mm) provides that the dark colour will remain, even after repeated sanding. Several very distinctive colours in grey, brown and black tints are featured in WOODlife's 'DEEP Down Collection'. One of these is DEEP Down Black.
In this remarkable project, this product was customized to the very detail. In some areas of the home the floor was installed in a highly distinctive 'full trapezium pattern'. The looks are spectacular and even emphasized through a fine sawn surface treatment, applied in the mill.
