An eclectic bungalow home in Calgary's Crescent Heights neighborhood was undergoing a major renovation, and the landscape needed as much work as anything else. Years of neglect had left the yard in shambles, and a chain link fence along with some unwanted trees didn't provide the look or privacy wanted. Out with the old, and in with the new. Now the yard features a unique barnwood-styled paver patio bordered by textured concrete, a sidewalk from the house to the garage, a cedar privacy fence and planting beds throughout. Many truckloads of rich loam were brought in to give the new plants and sod a healthy home. Trees, shrubs, grasses and perennials now give color, texture and aroma to this inviting backyard.
