Owners of this 2001 home appreciated the overall quality of their newer cabinets, but were not happy with the traditional look and the yellow tone of the stained oak. They also found the white tile countertops with their wooden edge and backsplash difficult to maintain. To transform the kitchen we darkened the cabinets with a more dramatic color shift and installed new stainless steel GE appliances. The tile countertops were replaced with elegant white quartz with just-the-right-amount of sparkle (per owners' daughter's recommendation- beautiful choice, M.! =)...)
Wooden backsplash was replaced with a glazed ceramic tile in a classic subway pattern. We also installed anthracite-colored, single basin, under-mount Silgranit Blanco sink, and a reasonably-priced, elegant Moen Arbor kitchen faucet.
