What is the height of the microwave (floor to bottom of microwave)? I'm thinking of stacking 3 appliances like this, but it might mean the lower oven is really low and the microwave is pretty high. Not sure if this is a good idea or not.

Given that this photo was taken about three years ago (I am the photographer on the project) I really can't given you a definite height in inches. That said, looking at the relationship between the microwave and the cabinets opposite it on the wall, presuming a standard cabinet height of 54 inches at the base, I would guessd the bottom of the microwave to be at around 5 feet from the floor. Hope this is at least a little helpful.

Not being an architect or designer, but someone who makes a living photographing beautiful interiors, I would call it contemporary. Some may call it modern, but by definition that would be more a '70's vibe.

I am just the photographer on the project. I know it was designed by Tomas Pearce Interior Design in Toronto, but since I was shooting for Canadian Architecture & Design magazine, not a designer or builder, I can't help you with the sourcing on the space beyond knowing who the designer was. Sorry.

In answer to your question, no, it isn't chalkboard paint. The black in the foreground is chalkboard paint... as is obvious since there is writing on it.
On that topic though, I personally painted my daughter's wall in her bedroom with chalkboard paint from Home Depot. It was a two part epoxy (I think) paint and it has held up quite nicely for the past three months or so. It's the only chalkboard paint Home Depot had, so it should be easy to go and ask for it there.

This shot was done several years ago for Canadian Architecture & Design magazine, so I have to rely a bit on memory and cues from a few things in the room. As I recall this galley kitchen was about 4 feet wide and CRAZY long (somewhere around 20+ feet)! It was very difficult to light because of its depth and there being nowhere to put lighting. Beyond that I'm sorry I can't be of much more assistance as I am just the photographer on the project.
