Thanks so much for your reply! We are getting more and more confused about which type is the best. We were told that marble was "it", but now I'm seeing that might not be the case. Is that countertop in the Steamboat Springs kitchen )the one w/ the rustic alder cabinets) quartz?

Any chance we can find out the stain and glaze colors? I don't know how to describe this beautiful "sedona red" shade to a furniture manufacturer. The samples we received were darker red.

Julie, our finisher mixed several different colors from M.L. Campbell (our finish manufacturer) to get this color, so there isn't a color name we can give. There is warm colored lighting which makes the cabinetry even more caramel colored. I'd describe it as having orange and brown tones, rather than red tones. If the finisher for your furniture company wants to call us and speak with Leif, the shop manager and finisher, he may be able to get some direction. 970-879-1174. The finisher should view this picture, instead of relying on you to verbalize it.

Caralin, We only provided the cabinetry, so I don't know the exact wall color. JMR Construction built this house. Mike Ramsey is the owner of JMR. His email is mikeramsey@springsips.com. If you ask him, reference the "Collins Kitchen wall color". Also, when you comment onto an existing question it does not prompt me to "answer a new question". I just happened to notice there was a new comment on this old question.

Thank you! So you say you custom made them? I'm curious if you also put the raised pegs in the doors and, if so, how you put them in? Are they false pegs, or are they actually hammered into the wood or serving a functional purpose?

They are actual wooden pegs that get hammered into each door. Then when we distress the doors, the edges of the pegs get worn back off, creating an eased edge. I believe the guys drill a round hole, then chisel it square and hammer in a small wooden square peg. There is no real purpose, except that it's intended to mimic an old fashioned method of furniture making in which the carpenters used mortise and tenon joints to hold things together. It's more of a decoration now. A very easy method that produces a similar look without all the effort is metal nail heads that can be hammered in during fabrication or after, by the homeowner. Rockler.com has some great little hammered nail heads we use quite often. You should drill a small pilot hole before hammering them in. :)

I believe that was a Blanco Silgranit sink. The color looks like it may have been Cinder, which is kind of a brown grey. Blanco Silgranit Sinks

Hi, this question had been asked before. It's a popular backsplash.

The backsplash is by Jeffrey Court. It's Chapter 9, Slate Fire & Ice Brick.http://jeffreycourt.com/chpt9_natural_slate_quartz_mosaics.asp

It was supplied by Interior Surroundings 970-870-8701 in Steamboat Springs, CO.

I do not know what the floor was. It's a slate for sure. Maybe Colorado Slate. Any custom tile shop should be able to look at it and tell you.

I'm sorry, we only supplied the cabinetry. The home owner purchased the rug.

Hi. This question was already asked. Here was the answer...
We made these cabinets in our shop. The homeowner customized the door style her self, but it's a raised panel door style with 8 square raised wooden pegs per door. There are 4 pegs per drawer front. The wood is knotty alder wood. The color was a custom match that we did in our shop, it does not have a name. It was a stain and glaze finish with some distressing as well.

The Range and Hood are made by Viking. Any high end appliance store should be able to order them where you live. I believe they discontinued this color. It was a sage green color. http://www.vikingrange.com/

We supplied the cabinetry for the job, so I do not have the paint color for the walls. I'll ask the contractor and see if he has that information for you.

Can you tell me where you got your backsplash. I love the touch of red - I am looking for a back splash that has a touch of red in it but not overpowering. Looks like this one has some grey and other colors that would work well in my remodel.
