Helen Davis - Thank you for your question. I do not have the exact countertop information on file for this kitchen but it looks like it’s possibly a Spekva wood countertop on the kitchen island. I hope this helps.

The light perimeter looks like a light granite like White Palmas or possibly a solid surface material like Caesarstone...the island looks like walnut wood. And the middle section over the light cabinets under the windows looks like honed black granite.

KitchenLab Interiors added this to Your Kitchen: Mix Wood and Painted Finishes
Consider your wood flooring. Many times people buy natural wood finishes in all their furniture, forgetting about how much wood there already is in the floors. If the floor in this kitchen had been stained a dark, matching brown tone, all those beautiful cabinets and countertops would get lost against it. The golden tone of the floor serves to create contrast and adds a third color layer. This kitchen also throws an unexpected curve: The sink base cabinets become their own element, painted white in a run of dark stained cabinetry.Find a local hardwood floor dealer and installer

8. Architectural details for cabinetry. In this kitchen you'll see legs on the sink-wall base cabinets in addition to an architectural surround that really draws your eye to that focal point. You may also note that the sink's base cabinets are a different depth than the cabinets on either side — these undulating depths add visual interest. Traditional kitchens employ details like legs and pilasters on islands, furniture-style toe kicks that make the cabinets look like they're freestanding, and custom wood hood surrounds that sometimes look like fireplace surrounds. All of these details layer on top of one other to make a traditional kitchen go the full distance.

Traditional kitchens. Traditional kitchens are defined by their details, which can include arches, decorative moldings and corbels, raised-panel cabinets, a mix of antique finishes and furniture-like turned legs — even a chandelier. Whether they have a classic American or old-world flavor, they still carry the stamp of their owners’ personal style.Guide: 15 Elements of a Traditional Kitchen | Find kitchen designers near you
