Oceanside Glass & Tile
Hi lms26, we can't really make recommendations on just any glass tile, but our glass tile is approved for shower floors. This particular tile in the picture is a 1" x 1". If you want more specific information or advice, please feel free to contact our Technical support team at (877) 648-8222 or email TECHSUPPORT@GLASSTILE.COM

I do not suggest these on the floor, they are very fragile and eventually you will probably regret your decision. Many people do. They often come up.

I think there are now glass panels that are treated to repel glass spotting?

Daily shower spray! last person to shower gives a quick once over. Try a few as some are better than others. Once you find a good one though you will never need to wash your shower panels again!

The glass should not be a difficult job for a qualified glazier as mentioned, the hinges and hardware can be found at www.crlaurence.com. Should be able to find pictures there in better detail to show your glazier.

Since I have two 7 year old boys, my experience with how 16 year old girls act, ended 31 years ago! I would say if the tiles were in a mosaic pattern, you would be safe!

Can you tell me the color of the tiles inside the shower. I see white subway tiles were used over the sink but hard to tell what is used in the shower. Thank you

They are concrete, of which cement is a component.

What Houzz contributors are saying:

Vanessa Brunner added this to House Planning: How to Choose Tile
Glass tiles are a common choice for bathrooms and kitchens today because they’re easily recycled and come in a wide variety of colors and finishes. Mosaic tiles — usually shaped in rectangles, squares, or “pennies” — have become increasingly popular. These glossy mosaic tiles work well on this bathroom floor because they’re easy to clean and provide traction during your post-shower dry down. Remember that a glossy floor tile isn’t the same as a glossy wall tile — before buying, explain to an in-store expert where your tile will be installed. Floor tile has to be safe to walk on, so you want to make sure that the texture and strength of the tile is correct.
Ivon Street Studio added this to Green and Clean: Ecofriendly Bath Floors
Recycled glass tile floors. Recycled glass tile, with its jewellike qualities and bevy of color options, makes greening your bath a breeze. Nearly all of Oceanside Glasstile's products contain recycled content, ranging from 30 to 97 percent of the tile's composition. This bath employs Oceanside's Tessera series in Spruce, which is 95 percent recycled glass.

green in the floor tile could be the answer. slate will show so much more dirt. a busy floor will be more likely to look clean.

example of light colored cabinet (which I like, and we need it, or a light paint color) due to darkness of the house. I also like the look of the countertop but don't know what it is. I prefer this nickle (or other silverish) faucet. (I'm concerned that the trend for black hardware will go out of style, unless there is a specific thing the black is coordinating with.)
