I think Semi- gloss. It depends on the look your going for. Semi gloss is softer. High- gloss can't be a bit glaring depending on the size of your space and lighting. Although can look very elegant as a trim with eggshell/ satin finish walls.

It looks like the arch closest is a different color than the middle or entry room. Is that the case or the lighting? If they are different can you clarify which one is Revere Pewter and the other color? thanks!

That is in fact a difference in lighting - the natural light and artificial light have different effects on how the paint looks.

Oak & Broad
Oil based finishes will often leave a golden/yellow look over the wood. Many of the water based finishes are clear and leave a much more natural look.

I have a similar color in my home...you could try Safari by Pratt & Lambert...looks great with all wood colors and in different lighting conditions.

Thanks for your inquiry! This paint color is still Revere Pewter as in the entry; it is in fact a difference in lighting - the natural light and artificial light have different effects on how the paint looks.

Thanks for the great question Diane! Unfortunately, it is difficult for us to give you a definitive answer since any design feature within a room depends in total on what other colors and furnishings are included in the room as well. With that said, we don't feel that Revere Pewter and the color red are at all a bad option; in fact, both colors can provide a very warming undertone to any room.
