but as Exquisite Kitchen Design noted, this is glass tile. How does that stand up to the grease factor that comes with being a backsplash behind a heavily used range? I am VERY interested in this tile but i love to cook and hate to clean. I don't see any grout lines in this photo but there must be. I would imagine that the glass tile itself is easy to keep clean but i would worry about the grout lines...

You are right. Glass tile is relatively easy to keep clean. It is primarily the grout that is the issue as you've noted. You'd have to be vigilant about sealing and keeping it clean.

What is the color of the quartz? It is a beautiful kitchen!

I love the mitered apron (double thick) island. Wondering if you can help me understand the "mechanics" of this fabrication. I would like to duplicate in my kitchen.
I am considering this feature on my island only (with a different granite on "perimeter"). If I do this, would the island counter be slightly taller than the other counters? How do you account for the double thick edge appearance and not have it interfere with your drawers? Any thing I should be aware of when seeking this type of fabrication (I see there are many ways this can be implemented)? Suggestions and specifics welcome.
I know finding the right fabricator is key, but I like to understand my options so I can ask the right questions!
Thanks!

Any tips on installation of backsplash to make it slightly more muted? we recently bought this backsplash and it looks very blue. This pic and several others make it look more grey and that is what we would like. Wondering if you did a special thinset color or any installation variations that are atypical? thanks!

Grout color can make a difference in the finished apprance. Zooming into this photo a grout color like tech-sterling or Mapei- silver could do the trick.
