The floor looks like Black Walnut. One of my favorites. Here are some pictures of recent floors made for other Houzz users. Let me know if you have any questions. joel@oakandbroad.com

The floor is Walnut and the cabinets are Knotty Alder. The floor used a custom mix stain. The cabinets used a custom multi step process using a combination of stain & glaze.

We used granite. I would recommend using a high quality granite shop and asking for "Book End Matched" slabs. Using the book end matched slabs lines up the grain of the stone at the seam and almost makes the seam disappear if done correctly.

It appears to be green? I cannot quite tell from this picture. As Mentioned above by B&B take a much better picture of the top in good lighting (unless of course this is a picture in a book ) to a granite yard and they really are good at helping direct you to all the colors that come close to it :) Janette

It takes a team for results like this, but the majority of the work on a ceiling like this would be completed by our B&B crews.

If you are asking about the trusses, plans are not available. You could contact Todd Gaily with PrecisionCraft in Boise about having some built.

Depending on use the wood floor may need to be refinished every 3-5 years. All other wood should last for many years unless abused.

We are a custom home builder and do not sell timber trusses. There are many timber company's that specialize in Timber Trusses. Trusses like this with mortise joint construction are in the $5,000 - $7,500 price range plus shipping and installation.

Without going through our old files to double check the plans, the ceiling heights are approximately 10' at the wall and 15' at the vault.

What Houzzers are commenting on:
Justine Crawford added this to Vaulted Ceiling Lighting
Ok for recessed lighting higher up ceiling but too much if lower perimeter was lit
btpisor added this to Ashford Ideas
I like how they incorporated very small points of light in the ceiling instead of large can lights.

WE have raw fir tongue and groove on our roof inside. We are trying to decide whether or not to stain it. Is the natural glaze different than stain?
Hi Nicole,
Yes these are Douglas fir timbers from Intermountain Wood Products.
Thank you for your inquiry!
