mskb, I'm surprised that the upkeep was higher with wood. Is that because of the grout?

Ceiling is same color. Walls and ceiling are flat. Trim and cabinets are semigloss.

I'm leary of using Monocoat but I love the finish. Aside from the person applying it- do you find any issues or things to worry about when using Monocoat?

My one bad experience was that the finish seemed to "walk-off". I have another client who has used the finish on multiple projects and loves the product. Despite lots of traffic and use, the floor looks great after 6 years. The floor gets maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.

If the white quartz is color compatible with the Calcutta then I think it works. Beware that the white in the Calcutta is warm and you'll want to check the quartz for a good color match.

Counter tops are Calcutta Gold Marble. Table has a laminate top of Wilsonart "white" with a "slate gray" edge.

The backsplash is the same marble as counter top: called Calcutta Gold by our local supplier.

Counter sits above dishwasher, about 37" above floor. Range side is standard 36".

I can tell you that hardware was purchased from Alexander Marchant, in Austin. I am unable to give you specifications. You might contact the store and forward a photo to see if they can identify the products.

back splash is 3/4" marble. Outlet strip is located at the top of the backsplash, just out of view.

We ordered the pedestal table base from an on-line source, I had a local counter top company make the plastic laminate top in size and shape that was appropriate for our use; they mounted the top for us.

This peninsula is 9'-6" long. The sink fits into a standard 36" wide cabinet.
