I just asked our architect about doing something like this. Approximately how much storage did this actually achieve over what a traditional cabinet in that space would have yielded. It seems like the gain is quite a bit offset by the space needed to enter.

Not to be an ass here, but definitely not a 30" door. The wall ovens on the other side are 30" wide for reference, so this looks like a 24" wide door at most.
