We do elevate pools to comply with the regulations and to avoid a fence. We essentially make the pool wall the height of a pool fence. However the regulations are changing all of the time so if you are thinking of installing a pool the latest guidelines should be referred to. A pool with a water wall/or pool fence wall may no longer be compliant. Hope that helps.

How much more space do you need for that walkway? or, what's the smallest space you can work with? Would it still work if you reduced the width of the pool to 1.5 meters? If 10m is the minimum length, what is the minimum width? Wondering if that includes the concrete casing/wall. Thank you!

It is located in Sydney. It is not a hotel but a private residence.

It was part of an overall garden renovation. We don't provide the exact prices to respect clients privacy. As a rough rule of thumb for clients wanting a pool we give them a range from $80,000 to $150,000 to install once you include all the surrounds, fencing, cleaning equipment etc. Dependant on the size of the pool, where it is going and the subsoils.

Like the design, the materials selected for the hardscape are sparse and pared down. The Australian hardwood decking adds richness and warmth to an otherwise cool and monochromatic palette. “The interior warmth comes from solid wood furnishings, and that was mimicked with the timber decking outside,” explains Cantwell. The transition from inside out was achieved by maintaining a loose connection between both spaces.” Cantwell notes that on a cold morning, the deck literally warms your feet.
